Leaders that understand the value each team member brings and the ability to guide the team to accomplish their goals. It is the priority of the management team at WIKUS Saw, to empower each team member, and ensure the overall success of the team. In this edition of our newsletter, please allow us to introduce one of the members of the WIKUS Saw management team, Kellie Grengs.
Kellie joined the WIKUS team in March 2010, as the Operations Manager for WIKUS Saw.
In her 11 years of working with WIKUS, Kellie has prospered in the challenge of her role as Operations Manager, where no two days are the same. There is no such thing as a “typical” day for Kellie. On any given day, her tasks could include things such as: reviewing bank documents (including payables and receivables); meeting with vendors to negotiate the best value for our customers; being the go-to person for any HR, insurance and 401K related questions; she is at the forefront of setting up and maintaining technology (i.e. computers or company phones); planning of company events; facilitating capital equipment acquisitions; and many more things. Kellie’s responsibilities are extensive, and that is exactly how she likes it. “In my role, I love that every day is different, and the day flies by!”
Kellie is referred to by her colleagues, as the person of “many hats”. No matter what it is, Human Resources, Facility Management, Financial, IT, or Quality Management, Kellie is ready to wear whatever “hat” is necessary. “I consider myself extremely fortunate to be involved in so many different aspects of the business. The opportunity for learning is one of my many favorite things about working at WIKUS!”
Being part of a great team, is what Kellie attributes her success. She encourages individuals to share their ideas and use their talents, so they can be proud of their contributions to the team. “She coaches the team to come up with ideas to provide resolutions”, by simply asking, “What do YOU think we should do?”
From Kellie’s perspective, “WIKUS is not just a team, it is a family!” Kellie is most especially thankful for the support of the team at the Addison facility. Regarding the team in Addison, Kellie shared, “We laugh, we cry and sometimes get on each other’s nerves, just like a family would, but at the end of the day we have each other’s backs, and we get things done together!”
Kellie is extremely proud of her role with WIKUS and most grateful for the opportunities to further develop the WIKUS organization. “WIKUS culture of support and encouragement, has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I am a better version of myself today, because of my experiences at WIKUS!”
When Kellie is not at WIKUS, she is usually headed to a workout, enjoying her passion for fitness. She loves spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, traveling and live music. Leaders like Kellie are needed in every organization, rolling up the sleeves to help the team and lead by example. In a growing organization responsibilities change and grow, leaders that coach the team to success, personal development, encourage and challenging the team to identify with changing customers’ needs will succeed. We thank Kellie for her leadership and contributions to the WIKUS team!
