Continuing what we started in our August 2018 newsletter edition, please allow us to introduce another member of the Wikus team to you, Mr. Juan Salto, Production Floater in our Addison, IL facility.
Juan Salto
Juan is the anchor of our production team in Addison and has literally grown up at Wikus, starting at the young age as a teenager. He started his employment with Wikus Saw in 2003 and has been contributing to the success of our blades ever since.
Juan’s title of Production Floater accurately describes not only the tasks he is responsible for but also the nature of how he goes about his day. Juan is in constant motion. In his 15 years with Wikus Saw, Juan has acquired all the knowledge and skills involved in our production department. In talking to Juan about his position as a Production Floater, Juan said he believes “a person can learn anything they want to learn”.
Juan’s typical day includes pulling stock, cutting blades, welding and finishing blades, packaging and preparing blades for shipment to our customers.
Whatever the need in our production department on any particular day, Juan can be counted on to fi ll the void. Juan is one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave for the day. Juan’s work ethic and level of knowledge, reliability and commitment to doing his best job is a real value for Wikus Saw.
Over the years, Juan has not only grown in his position at Wikus, but he has also grown personally, from a teenager in 2003 to being a husband and father of three children today. Juan enjoys playing soccer in his free time. In fact, Juan involved Wikus Saw as a sponsor for a couple of his soccer teams! Wikus Saw is fortunate to have such longevity in our team and we thank Juan for his many years of service!
Heidi Macedo
Please allow us to introduce our newest administration employee in Addison, Heidi Macedo. Heidi will be working in the role of Inside Sales Coordinator. Heidi has previous experience in industrial manufacturing and she brings many great skills to our inside team which will further enhance the service Wikus Saw can provide for our customers. Heidi just recently moved back to the Chicago area and she is happy to be home. We are very pleased to welcome Heidi to Wikus Saw. If you weren’t able to meet Heidi at our recent Customer Open House event this past September, please feel free to say hello the next time you call the office in Addison.
Gary Lang
Mr. Gary Lang, is our newest addition to the commercial team at WIKUS and has been appointed as the West Coast Regional Sales Manager and is responsible for all commercial aspects in the territory. Gary brings with him vast experiences in sales of abrasive materials in the industrial markets, and we are delighted to have him on our team. If you are located in the West coast region and have not met Gary yet, please reach out to him.
