Great teams are those that are diversified, with varying experience levels and skill sets. While it is important to continually build the team, it is equally important to maintain a solid foundation of experience. At WIKUS Saw we are proud of our team and are fortunate to have a blend of new members, who bring a fresh perspective and new ideas, and longtime members, who’s experience is invaluable to the team. In this edition of our newsletter, we would like to highlight one of the veterans on the WIKUS Saw sales team, Dan Miller.
Dan has been servicing WIKUS customers, as Regional Sales Manager of the southeast region of the US, for over 15 years.
Dan is a true veteran in this industry, from his roots working part time in the family owned tool and supply business, to Dan’s management roles, with industrial distribution. Dan is right at home in the southeast, having worked and lived in that area for most of his career. So, when the opportunity was presented, for a position at WIKUS Saw, overseeing this territory, it seemed like a natural fit.
In his time working for WIKUS, Dan has enjoyed much success and developed many long-term customer relationships. Dan leveraged his past management experience in industrial distribution, to have a true understanding of what is important for the distributors in his territory, allowing Dan to provide the top-notch service our customers expect!
Dan has guided and mentored many new WIKUS sales team members, who have traveled with Dan in his territory as part of their training. Team members learn, through Dan’s example, how to interact and partner with customers. If you ask Dan, he graciously attributes his success to the entire WIKUS team, from the timely processing and production of orders from the inside team, to the support and comradery from his fellow colleagues on the sales team. Dan especially appreciates his technical partner in the territory, Eric Nossal, providing customers with the value added WIKUS technical service. Dan is grateful for the technical training and application knowledge he has received over his time at WIKUS. It is that knowledge, in combination with a high-quality product, that gives Dan the ability to confidently sell and service customers.
How does Dan sum up working at WIKUS Saw, “It is just fun!” Highlights for Dan have been the trips to WIKUS Germany and various big account wins, but most importantly, are the relationships and friendships he has formed with customers and fellow WIKUS team members.
