Over the years we have seen many changes when it comes to cutting with band saw blades. The materials being cut, the condition of those materials, the band saw machines which drive those blades and the blades themselves, all have become more complex.
I n order to keep up with those changes, our Research and Development team continuously improves processes to existing products and bring us new ones for the future challenges and opportunities. Each of our products has unique characteristics whether it be the tooth tip composition, rake angle or set pattern. It’s all about creating a consistent chip load when applying the right speeds and feeds for the material being cut. Providing a solution to reduce cost per cut.
At WIKUS, we believe that educating our distributors and end users on the basic principles of our band saw blades provides a better understanding when selecting the right blade for the application.
Understanding the various levels of product offered and the applications they are best suited for are key in order to make the best product recommendation to achieve that.
Training and sharing knowledge have always been part of our philosophy and culture here at WIKUS and we have continued with that philosophy during the current Covid-19 issue by conducting online Webinars for our Distributors, End Users and fellow team members. It’s one piece of the added value we offer to support you and your customers daily. We’re here for you.
Whether it’s a refresher course or something totally new to you, having a better understanding of our products and how they are applied will give you additional confidence when out selling. In the end, bringing the end user our best solution for the application, based on their desired results and/or improvements, is our common goal in building long term partnerships.
During the months of June and July, 13 of our distribution partners took advantage of the Webinar (WIKUS Fundamentals of Band Sawing) with 123 individuals participating.
