Dear Reader,

These unprecedented times have put a highly deserved focus on a certain part of our society, namely front-line workers, that we are grateful to, as they give their personal sacrifice, for the greater good. In certain times, their acts go-by unnoticed, nonetheless in times of need, they become even more appreciated. Within our WIKUS family we would like to acknowledge a very special group, who we consider the WIKUS front-line workers.

In March, while many of our team sheltered in place, and were able to seamlessly continue their duties, others, such as our production teams in Addison, Illinois and Santa Fe Springs, California, continued their work at the facilities, ensuring that orders are processed, cut, welded, inspected and supplied to you. At WIKUS, our production team is an integral part of our organization. This production team is at the heart of everything we do, producing top quality blades for your applications. Our blades are the star of the show, but so too, is the team that produces them!

The production team members were needed at our facility, to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain. In addition to ensuring dependable supply, our team closely follows the new health and safety protocols that address the pandemic concern, to minimize risks. A healthy team, equipped with protocols where personal safety and well-being are at the forefront in combination with contingency plans, ensures continuity in supply. At WIKUS, our team is our family away from home, and keeping this family safe and healthy is a top priority.

Measures were taken to ensure safety in our facilities, including extending the workday to allow a split of one shift into two, designating distancing perimeters as well as adding time for daily cleaning and sanitizing of all areas in the facilities.

While these measures were necessary to minimize risk and further protect our team, the changes to the workday have presented some personal challenges for our production team. We are grateful to each member of our production team for their support, in rising to these challenges and enabling us to continue to provide the level of service you know and expect.

WIKUS values the hard work and additional sacrifices our team is making during these unprecedented times. We extend our sincerest appreciation to each person in production, as well as their families. WIKUS Saw is extremely fortunate to have such a solid team on our front lines!
